Chairman of The Board:

Jan E. Engebretsen

 Jan E. Engebretsen – Chairman of the HDD Board of Directors from May 2011. For the last 22 years, he has been engaged in venture investments and management consulting from the family company Nettverk AS, and has extensive business and board member experience from the IT and Telecom industry, both in Norway and internationally. Before 1989, he held positions in companies as TBK, Telenor Research, University of Tromsø, SINTEF, Norwegaian Defence and Institute for Energy Technology. During the last 8 years, he has held a seat on, or chaired, a number of boards including among others Consorte Group, Telecomputing, Convexa Capital, Design Power Inc., Dolphin Interconnect Solutions and Totalview Technologies Inc. He has a degree in Solid State Physics from the University of Oslo, exams from the Technical University of Trondheim and several courses in management.

Jan Olaf Tønnevold

Jan Olaf Tønnevold is today the Chairman, President, and sole owner of   O.T. Tønnevold AS where he has been working since  1975 and became Managing Director in 1988.  O.T. Tønnevold AS is involved in international business; maritime investments  both nationally and internationally, venture investments in Norway and abroad and property investments in Norway. He has an active and involving engagement in his company. He has an MBE (Master of Business and Economics) from BI, Oslo, Norway and  a Master of Science degree in International Shipping from University of Plymouth, England. He holds several board positions in businesses and in ideal organizations, and he has during his career established a vide range of business-contacts, both in   Norway and abroad.

Stein Surlien

As Mr. Stein Surlien is now CEO / President of another security company (www.norman.com) within our industry, he has resigned from the Board of Directors of HDD AS effective from December 1st 2011.

Arnfinn Tveit

Arnfinn Tveit is chairman and board member of several technology growth companies. He has a long engineering and managerial background from the telecommunication equipment industry. Over the years Arnfinn Tveit has had senior positions within most functions in this industry, including R&D, project management, manufacturing, sales and marketing and general management. He was with the Nera group until 2000, last position being president of Nera Networks. After leaving Nera he joined the Microwave Communication Division of Harris Coproration as Vice President of PLM and marketing.  Arnfinn Tveit has also worked as management consultant for PA International Consultants for three years. He has his M. Sc. (Siv.ing.) degree from NTH, Trondheim, 1968 and completed a one year management development program at North European Management Institute (NEMI), Oslo, in 1973. Arnfinn joined the board of HDD as chairman in June 2008.

Erik Sandersen

Erik Sandersen is a Partner in Incitia Ventures a leading Norwegian venture capital firm. He has a wide management experience from early-stage and public IT companies. He has also worked as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group and Andersen Consulting (Accenture), including managing director of Circle Innovation, member of the international management team of IconMedialab, and CEO of Hands ASA.

Mr Sandersen holds a Siv Ing degree from NTNU and an MBA from Stanford University
